It is the third-largest school district in the city, with more than 38,000 students and over 5,000 employees at our 56 campuses and Central Office. Known as "The District of Champions," Ysleta ISD has a long and distinguished tradition of excellence. Desertaire Elementary School became the 12th Ysleta ISD school to win the highly coveted National Blue Ribbon School award in 2020, and two additional campuses – Vista Hills and Ramona elementary schools– were selected for the 2021 National Blue Ribbon School designation.
