The Yale Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center (Yale-TCC) consortium is comprised of dedicated stakeholders working together ... to build capacity for precision medicine research in the Caribbean. Health, policy, and community experts from Barbados, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, the U.S. Virgin Islands, New York, and New Jersey work together to facilitate meaningful participation in research efforts to address long-standing disparities in hypertension and diabetes among African descent and Hispanic populations. Consortium members are invited to: • help identify research priorities in the region • design, implement, and evaluate studies and research policies • disseminate information • build their professional networks Our organizational structure includes five working groups and a fellows program: • our governing board provides strategic direction for the consortium as a whole • our collaborative learning work group facilitates training and educational opportunities • our consortium well-being work group hosts unifying, engaging social activities • our data-sharing work group provides advice on sharing and integrating research data • our implementation work group offers guidance on the selection and implementation of projects • our fellows manage the communication and activities for each work group Yale-TCC is funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD). read more
