Our mission is to "close" the totally open profession of the Close Protection Officer and protect the public from amateurs ("self-titled" Close Protection Officers), or even worse than that, when gangsters pretend the "bodyguards". We proved that you are NOT a Close Protection Officer (CPO), because you are a Police Officer. A Police Officer can get the special training of a CPO, and be a CPO. But until then, they are NOT CPOs. Bouncers and security guards, the are NOT CPOs. A Bouncer or a Security Officer can get the special training of a CPO, and be a CPO. But until then, they are NOT CPOs. Close Protection is the ELITE of the Security. To be a CPO you need to be a highly skilled Security Operative/Police Officer/Military, and then to get the special training and AFTER that, you will start entering to the Close Protection world. After that day, you can count yourself as first grade trainee. After that day, you will realize that you still need to learn: 1. To understand suspects and also risky and unstable situations 2. To learn to listen "your guts". 3. To exercise your skills no matter where you are (i.e. to search indications of possible suspects) 4. To get at least one course every single year. (in 1-2 weeks of training, nobody became a CPO, except some clowns who pretend they are CPOs. As I call them, the "PCPOS" (Pretending the Close Protection Officer). 5. And after 5 to 10 years that you do this job, you can call yourself Professional Close Protection Officer. The 5 or 10 years depended from your previous profession and from your talent.
