The realisation they had, was that this was a widely shared experience among the Veteran community, and something needed to be done. Veterans have developed exceptional skills and abilities such as critical thinking and working in high-pressure environments; they deliver value to employers showing high adaptability, reasoning, and awareness; however, they don’t necessarily fit the mould when it comes to the traditional experience being looked for on resumes and CVs. Since our humble beginnings, we have expanded our mission to remove the barriers to starting new careers in technology for more under-represented and underemployed individuals around the world, including neurodivergent, gender-diverse, military spouses, and Indigenous populations. And we do this by offering our testing, training, and job search function for free on our platform to help them to identify their best matched career path, learn their job-ready skills, and land their first job. Additionally, WYWM is helping hundreds of companies meet their technology talent needs through our innovative platform.
