Being our own grower allows us to control the process from start to finish, offering you only the highest-quality locally grown plants. We have a long history in the bluegrass. We were founded by Charles Wilson in 1979 as a landscaping contracting firm and retail garden center. Due to his energy, love of horticulture and pure grit, we became established in Frankfort as the place to go for fine plants & landscaping. As our growth continued, so did our need to expand. In 2001, we debuted our current retail nursery & garden center and it was then that we blossomed and began to look more as we do today. More recently, we opened our our on-site restaurant in Frankfort, Sage Garden Cafe, & opened the doors of our Lexington nursery to the public.
