Several years later, three of his sons undertook Harlyn's past responsibilities and formed a partnership, which resulted in the incorporation of Wieland & Sons Lumber Co. in 1982. This family-run business is still currently owned and operated by the three brothers (Ted, Dean, and Jeff Wieland) with sites in Iowa and Wisconsin. Wieland & Sons Lumber Co. now does business in all of the continental United States and several foreign countries. The company plays a major role in the community by providing employment to over 100 full- and part-time employees, who are all dedicated to servicing Wieland's customers with only the highest quality lumber products. Manufacturing a total of 18 million board feet of lumber per year, with locations in Winthrop and Muscoda, WI, Wieland & Sons is a wholesale distribution yard, manufacturing plant, and sawmill. The company's products are offered both internationally as well as domestically, and the list includes hardwood logs and lumber, rips, cut-to-length, flooring, ties and log siding. Specialized products are also available in width-pulled lumber, color-sorted lumber, and custom-sawn green lumber. Wieland & Sons also offers lumber pulled to customer's specifications and a custom sales shop for small dimensional orders.
