What the Covid-19 pandemic learned us: There is a surplus of capacity in the civic society. It feels meaningful for most peop ... le to help out in their local communities. Still, many organizers are in lack of volunteers. During emergencies better knowledge about the skills and whereabouts of our fellow citizens can be of critical importance. What if we made our specific capacities, experiences and interests available to different organizers? We created a service where people, in a friendly way. can register basic facts about themselves. They can also choose to share this information with specific organizations, public bodies and companies in need of volunteers - either for everyday tasks or for preparedness. The citizens can define how and when they would like to be contacted. The service was launched as BETA in Norway in october 2020. To be continued. read more
