Since 1960, U.S. Embassy, London, has been located in the Chancery Building in Grosvenor Square, Mayfair. The size of the Mission directly reflects the scope and complexity of the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom. The Mission consists of 41 U.S. government entities which employ over 1000 staff. The embassy moved to its' new facility in Nine Elms, Wandsworth in January 2018.
