The world is facing severe global challenges, presented in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Many of those challenges ... will be battled in urban contexts. Urban contexts are not static but changeable and dynamic, the infrastructure is changing, houses, buildings, roads, parks, and so on - but also the people occupying everyday life in cities are changing. Structural changes are reinforced including e-commerce preferences, working from home and/or at shared office spaces, new consumptions patterns and attitudes, all together affecting everyday city life. As the challenges we are facing are complex there are no simple solutions to how they will be solved, an no actor alone will manage. It will be important to understand adaptation and how actors are responding to change in new conditions, as it provides opportunities for creativity and innovation. This implies that there is a demand for collaboration between different actors, i.e., public, private, and civic society. Important actors in the urban context are those working with real estates and transportation as they hold central positions regarding the development of the urban context. To manage to move forward it is important to include actors working in those sectors on a journey towards more sustainable cities in the world.
