University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review

Publishing · Toronto, Ontario
Website: utflr.ca

The University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review is one of the oldest student legal journals in Canada. First published in 194 ... 2 under the name School of Law Review, it was a record of student life and times in the faculty. In the 1950s, the Law Review began to professionalize, moving from a student newspaper to a forum for intellectual debate by students about the law. Today, the Law Review remains devoted to publishing the work of students and recent graduates, but has become one of the most cited legal journals in Canada. The Supreme Court of Canada has cited our articles on Aboriginal, Constitutional, Criminal, Family, and Private Law, but the Law Review itself has no thematic focus. It publishes articles with a Canadian legal focus (including comparative articles), as well as articles on international law, legal theory, and legal history. If you would like to submit a paper, please visit www.utflr.ca/submitpaper. Forum Conveniens, the Law Review's official blog, includes commentary by the Law Review’s Senior Editorial Board members on current and topical developments in the law, including, among other things, recent court decisions and legislative developments. You can visit and subscribe to the blog at www.utflr.ca/forum, and following this LinkedIn page will allow you to have information about new posts delivered straight to your news feed. read more
