The Zoological Society is organisaed by students for students at the University of Glasgow. In the 2018/19 academic year, the ... society (ZooSoc) increased its membership, ran a dozen successful educational talks, held its first photography competition which saw an outstanding level of talent from its members. ZooSoc also held three joint social events with the Univeristy's Geography, Earth Science and Exploration Societies. Matriculated students from any subject area, in any year of study, undergraduates and postgraduates, are eligible to join. The Zoological Society has helped students connect and network with renowned educational speakers, and have found volunteering opportunities in and around Glasgow, such as with FrogLife and the Marine Conservation Society, through the talks held by ZooSoc. read more
