In a recent collaboration with the University of California, Irvine, we successfully triggered CD4+, CD8+, and B Cell immune responses in transgenic mice with the Institute of Immunology’s multiepitope pan-coronavirus mRNA vaccine candidate loaded into our dissolvable microneedle patches. We are using the validation of our microneedle platform gathered from this study to begin influenza studies in larger animal models, with a monovalent mRNA antigen.
