Today, as part of UH Regional Hospitals Department of Medical Education, the residency stands as one of the largest and most successful podiatric training programs in the U.S. The Podiatric Medicine/Surgical Residency is exclusively a three-year learning experience. The hands-on, surgery based program is fully accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education. The residency program features the active participation and support of 12 area hospitals, six surgical centers, and 75 adjunct allopathic, osteopathic, and podiatric faculty members in diverse urban, suburban, and rural care settings. Over the last quarter-century, UH Richmond Medical Center has graduated over 250 podiatric residents.
