Ubisoft FGOL was founded in 2009 to build interactive entertainment for the emerging smart phone market. We believed that the ... arrival of the App Store in July 2008 would open up an incredible opportunity to deliver innovative, original and mass market content to an ever-increasing global audience. Ubisoft FGOL have focused since then on understanding the type of people that enjoy playing games on their smart phones and tablets. We have designed games that we believe have an immediate global appeal, recognition and understanding. We also spend time to understand the increasing demographic range, gender and nationality splits of the smart phone user base and make content to resonate as wide as possible to this global audience. Ubisoft FGOL are exclusively a free-to-play studio. We believe in this business model as a way to not only reach & entertain a huge global audience, but also to better understand their requirements and play behaviour in our games. This hasn’t been easy with over 470 million installs and often up to 2.5 million daily active users, but it’s a great privilege to provide entertainment to this many people and we love to hear how much they enjoy what we do. Ubisoft became part of the Ubisoft family in October 2013, it is currently its only mobile studio in UK.
