The association’s primary objective is the improved understanding of planning-related issues and societal developments arising on all continents, particularly in regard to socio-spatial theories and planning methods. The association is an independent network of academic, consultancy, and practical professionals and consists primarily of architects, urban and regional planners, sociologists, geographers, anthropologists, and economists. TRIALOG e.V. organises regional and international conferences on an annual basis, independently or in cooperation with other scientific or scholarly organisations. Evaluations of these and other related events are published in the journal alongside research findings, case studies, and practical reports of relevance.
