Timberwise is a family-owned company that manufactures high quality wooden floors from sustainable and safe raw materials in ... its own factory. The company was established in 1999 and is based in Loimaa, Finland. The raw materials are sourced and selected by hand and the wood arrives to the factory as fresh planks. Two thirds of all timber used originates from Finland. No endangered wood species are used for Timberwise products. Instead, we use color treatments to attain exotic-looking surfaces on certified raw materials. The company is also worldʼs first wooden floor manufacturer to abandon the use of glues containing formaldehyde for manufacturing its products, as it is known to irritate the eyes and upper respiratory passages. Timberwise is the only wooden floor manufacturer in Finland, whose products are certified by the Finnish Allergy and Asthma Federation and by the Association of Finnish Work. On 2019 Timberwise purchased the Parla Floor from OR-Group in Mikkeli, and became the only industrial parquet manufacturer in Finland. The production continues in both Loimaa and Mikkeli factories, personnel altogether 75 and total capacity of 1 million m2/year. Both products, Timberwise and Parla, are produced under the Finnish Flag (Avainlippu) certificate. read more
