Some time ago, Alejandro Muyale (Whose family owned business has been performing "Ground Handling Services" at Aruba Airport ... for over 38 years and for more than 10 years at the Curaçao Airport) fulfilled his dream of applying for certification with the Department of Civil Aviation of Aruba for operating an airline. The airline started with using a single 36-seat Shorts 360-200. Shortly after a second Shorts aircraft was added. Alejandro Muyale, the director, named the airline after his daughter Tiara Muyale. The word "tiara" is derived from Latin, meaning "crown". In 2011 a Learjet 35A was added to the fleet for private charters and air ambulance flights. A Boeing 737-300 with up to 141 seats was added in 2012. Tiara Air now performs scheduled flights from Aruba to Bonaire, Curacao, Punto fijo (Venezuela), Maracaibo (Venezuela), Caracas (Venezuela), Rio Hacha (Colombia) and Fort Lauderdale (Florida - USA). read more
