The Royal Wessex Yeomanry is the UK’s only regiment of part-time tank soldiers, based in South West England, but recruited fr ... om across the country. Our soldiers are volunteers with normal jobs and normal lives who give up some of their spare time to train as crews for the Challenger 2 tank. As part-time members of the armed forces, they have access to a wide range of opportunities, including pay and pension, fitness training, sports and travel.
