For over 20 years The Ross Center has delivered short-term effective treatment to those whose personal and professional lives ... have been disrupted by an anxiety disorder. Because anxiety often co-occurs with other disorders, the Ross Center’s multidisciplinary staff also treats depression, problems in families and relationships, as well as diverse childhood and adolescent disorders. The practice is nationally known for providing evidence-based treatment for mood and anxiety disorders, specifically cognitive and behavioral therapies. Over the years our practice has grown to include internationally renowned board-certified psychiatrists and psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric nurses with expertise in treating a wide spectrum of mental health problems in addition to anxiety disorders. The practice is unique in providing comprehensive care using a team approach. Patients will work with one or more therapists in targeting their symptoms, and can also have a consultation with one of several psychiatrists on staff if medication is indicated. The treatment team consults regularly to ensure that all patients are given top notch care. The Ross Center for was founded by Jerilyn Ross, MA, LICSW, in 1991. Ms. Ross was a pioneer and visionary leader in the field of mental illness who overcame her own phobia. Her vision was to bring together clinicians, researchers, and patients to advance scientific knowledge, provide training, and help those who suffer from anxiety disorders find treatment and hope. To that end, she co-founded what is now known as the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. Through the Ross Center she was able to realize her dream of creating a world class treatment center with the same intention, to provide state of the art treatment to those disabled by anxiety and its related disorders. The team of clinicians that she brought together has continued to advance her mission since her death from cancer in 2010. read more
