The EcoCAR Mobility Challenge is an Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, Gener ... al Motors and Mathworks, and it is managed by Argonne National Laboratory. Students from 12 North American Universities must re-engineer a Chevrolet Blazer over four years to incorporate advanced propulsion systems, electrification and connected and automated vehicle technologies. Students participating in the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge gain valuable, hands-on, real-world experience with automotive engineering and development processes used in industry. The Ohio State EcoCAR team's mission is to develop a showroom-ready hybrid electric Chevrolet Blazer that meets or exceed the technical requirements provided by sponsors.
