We provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse. We walk alongside individuals, ... children and young people to support them in their journey to safety and a life free from domestic abuse. Providing access to our own specialist refuge accommodation, including specialist recovery refuge for women experiencing substance misuse issues and a separate family refuge, as well as our specialist community service, we help the highest risk victims and survivors take their first steps to safety. We provide a range of individual support from safety planning through to recovery work and offer access to our own group based programmes. Our Children and Young People's Service provides a specialist service for families (non-abusing parent and children up to 13) supporting parents to understand the impact of domestic abuse on their children, impacts on attachment and coping/parenting strategies as well as providing 1:1 therapeutic support for children. Our young persons violence advisors support young people aged 14 - 19 who are experiencing domestic abuse in their own intimate relationships, covering safety planning, healthy relationships & 1:1 therapeutic work aimed at recovery. We pride ourselves in being the local experts in domestic abuse, being the commissioned provider of all domestic abuse services in Mid, North and parts of West Essex and working in partnership with other related services and organisations to ensure that our clients are able to access the help they need, when they need it.
