The George Washington University Criminal Law Brief (CLB) is an online publication that aims to foster discussion about regio ... nal, national, and international criminal law issues. Since its inception in 2019, the CLB has provided a means for students to develop and improve their legal research and writing skills and gain exposure to nuanced topics within the criminal legal system. Members of the CLB directly engage in all aspects of the publication process – from article contribution and evaluation through the editorial and posting processes. The Brief embraces academic scholarship regarding current criminal law related legal issues and draws on multiple disciplines outside of law including history, economics, political science, and social science. It represents various perspectives on these issues that are developed by each individual contributor through their own research. Students of the George Washington University Law School, professors, and practitioners are encouraged to submit articles and share their interest in criminal law.
