Where Process Becomes Content -The Feuerstein Methodology in the 21st Century Learn the recipe for our success! Join the Feue ... rstein Institute this summer for our annual "Shoresh" International Summer Workshop! Discover the method that has already helped millions of people across the globe develop their cognitive skills and tap into their latent abilities.Conference website: http://acd.icelp.info/shoresh/english.aspx The Method is based on the Theory of SCM (Structural Cognitive Modifiability), and on 2 main tools: The Dynamic Assessment (LPAD) which assesses a person's learning potential, and Instrumental Enrichment(IE), a structured set of instruments designed to reach a person's learning potential by working strategically on the cognitive processes that need improving. The main applications of our method are in the following areas: 1. Educational - teach children and students systematically how to think and learn. This is the most basic and critical skill required to succeed in today's fast paced change-environment, where the key to success lies not anymore in how much information we have, but in how adept we are at dealing with such information. The Feuerstein Method has created specific applications to enable and improve focused learning of children with ADD/ADHD. Applications of the Feuerstein Method include the integration of culturally different populations into mainstream education and society. 2. Clinical - Help populations with special needs (Autism, CP, Down Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Damage and CVA) to significantly advance their functioning, with the aim to be meaningfully (re-)integrated into education, family and society. 3. Elderly - Slow-down the onset of cognitive deterioration and dementia in the elderly population by "re-igniting the engine" of thinking and learning through cognitive processes. read more
