Budding coders in Cambridge are being given the chance to take advantage of a brand new tech initiative, 'The Digital Academy ... ' powered by Code Nation and Cambridge Regional College. The Digital Academy is open to a wide range of students from school or college leavers, university graduates, to those looking for a career change, employees looking to re-skill or digital practitioners wanting to up-skill and progress their career. The objective is to create employable, work ready, talent in digital. The Academy is helping bridge the digital skills gap, and has a capacity to train hundreds of people during its first year of opening. It has recently been launched by a partnership of Cambridge Regional College and Code Nation who together will serve students and businesses across Cambridge, the East of England and Greater London. The partnership comes just weeks after the Financial Times celebrated Cambridge’s status as a tech hub, and welcomed its ability to cultivate collaboration between business and academia. The Digital Academy has proved a further boost for the region and for businesses who now have access to an increased pool of tech talent, delivering innovative bootcamps in Software Development. read more
