The 50th International Eucharistic Congress 2012 Ltd or IEC2012, a week long event in June 10th to 17th 2012. Attendances eac ... h day were between 11,000 to 15,000 in the RDS for 7 days, consisting of 3 keynote addresses and 36 workshops for between 50 to 1,000 people each day. The week long programme attracted 38,000 pilgrims (7,500 from 123 countries balance Irish). The final event was held in Croke Park was attended by over 65,000 people. Opening and closing ceremonies were broadcast live to more than 200 million viewers. In addition an academic conference for 450 people for 4 days, a fringe festival in 37 city centre church's, a Pilgrim walk attended by over 20,000, Art exhibition attended by 1,000 people, exhibition hall of over 250 exhibits, concerts, plays and film. 55 Staff and 1,703 volunteer's The office closed late 2012 and the company "IEC2012 ltd " is now closed. All staff and volunteers have finished their work involvement and moved to other projects. The next congress in 2016 will be held in the Philippians.
