We come together to network, share experiences and professional resources, and we are actively involved in the community. TEW supports programs that recognize, develop and fund the advancement of young women in the community, our mentoring and scholarship programs among them. TEW sponsors mentoring programs that have touched the lives of over 2,500 girls. We have programs at: Aldine Senior High School, Aldine Ninth Grade School, Alief High School and Ball High School in Galveston. In 1998, Texas Executive Women established another scholarship program specifically to assist girls who have participated in any of the mentoring programs. These mentoring scholarships apply to a university, community college or trade school -- another possibility created. Approximately 75 scholarship recipients continue to mentor high school girls, making the commitment to help young women come full circle. To date, TEW has donated over $900,000.00 to various charitable endeavors, including our ongoing mentoring programs throughout Houston, of which $345,000 has been awarded as scholarships to TEW's mentoring participants.
