Driven by passion, we develop, manufacture and sell Nordic tipis for a multitude of different outdoor pursuits and for the event industry. The essence of a Nordic tipi is togetherness and a life evolving around a fire in the centre of the tent. Tentipi is today the world-leading manufacturer of insect-protected, portable Nordic tipis and big, linkable Nordic tipis for events. We were established in 1989 in Swedish Lappland and still make tents there today. Our Nordic tipis take inspiration from the kåta, the traditional home of the semi-nomadic Sami people. The kåta is a simple cone-shaped frame of wooden poles covered with animal hides, with an opening at the top to let out smoke. Our tipis are based upon the traditional design principles of the Sami kåta, coupled with innovative new design, and the latest materials and construction techniques. Tentipi® Partners are authorised to hire out our Classic and Event Nordic tipis and build constructions for corporate events, parties, weddings and festivals. They have received special training to erect and connect our Event tents in a safe and reliable way. Advice and support with tent configurations, interior floor plans, lighting, heating and furnishings is all part of the service. They also sell Classic and Event Nordic tipis.
