Team ZEUS is a University of Calgary club that designs, builds and races zero emission motorcycles. We are the Canada's first ... University Electric Motorcycle team! In August 2013, we finished the construction of our first electric superbike, the Zephyr. We raced this motorcycle at the eMotoRacing competition in Utah on August 29-31, 2014. During the year, we made significant upgrades to the Zephyr, achieving test speeds of 230 km/h on a dynomometer. We brought the bike back to Utah where we placed 4th in our second international race. We have presented at Beakerhead festival, at Women in Engineering day, at the Telus Spark Science Centre and at numerous university and public events. Our goal for this year is to boost the performance of the Zephyr, begin preliminary designs for our next generation bike, and further engage members of the public through community involvement.
