[What we do] We produce a new alternative material for paper and plastics called “LIMEX” which made from limestone we have in ... abundance everywhere. We believe that our works could be global revolutionary. LIMEX is now patents granted and pending in 43 countries. Thankfully our project is supported by the Japanese government and got subsidy from ministry of economic, so we were able to build a plant in shiraishizaou Miyagi Japan in 2015 and make products there. [Why we do] LIMEX is one of the ways to solve the problems such as water shortage, forest depletion and oil depletion and could make sustainable future. Water has been ranked as the top global risk in the World Economic Forum’s 2015 Global Risks Report. The water crisis is now according to the report considered as the top threat facing the world in the next ten years. In addition to that, paper consumption is estimated to double in 2030, which means plenty of water and trees will be used even more than now. In 2050, it is said that 40% of all the world population is expected to face serious water shortage and we might lose main forests from the earth within the next 100years. Making paper from LIMEX doesn’t need water and trees. So if all the paper around the world change to its from LIMEX, water and trees would be saved. We’re also used to use oil and oil deposits are expected to run out within the next 50 years. LIMEX can handle that issue, because making plastics from LIMEX can reduce 60~80% of petroleum-derived material compared with regular plastics. LIMEX is not only ecologically friendly, but also economical. The cost to procure limestone is very cheap. We can supply our products cheaper than normal paper and plastics. read more
