TamU-K is a football club based in Tampere, Finland. In 2012 the club played its first competitive season in Kutonen, the sev ... enth tier of the Finnish football pyramid. The first two seasons both ended in promotion, and in 2015 TamU-K plays in Nelonen (fifth tier). TamU-K was started in the aftermath of Tampere United being banned from competitive football by the Finnish FA, under controversial circumstances, less than a month before the start of the 2011 season. The club is run by Tampere Unitedin kannattajat ry (TUK ry), a supporters trust that was originally founded in 2009 to help Tampere United in the economic difficulties that the club had run into. TUK ry is owned by its members, who are supporters of Tampere United. Each member has one vote in matters concerning the supporters trust and the club. Originally founded in 1998, Tampere United has won three Finnish league championships (2001, 2006 and 2007) and one Finnish Cup (2007). TamU-K upholds these traditions and aims to return Tampere United to its rightful place at the top of Finnish football. read more
