HISTORY On 27 April 1925 (19 Miazia 1917 Ethiopian Calendar), the then Regent to the throne, Prince Tafari Makonnen, establis ... hed and inaugurated Tafari Makonnen School (TMS) with the foresight education is the fundamental prerequisites for Ethiopia’s social and economic development. Since then, TMS' learning was anchored on outstanding scholarship and high ethical discipline. TMS alumni have served their country in various capacities and fields and represented throughout the world engaged in academia, public and private sectors, international and non-governmental organizations. Liaises and collaborates with the Tafari Makonnen School Charity Alumni Association (TMSACA) in Ethiopia to support mutually agreed projects to benefit TMS; and 3. Identifies projects that enhance the quality of education including an Alumni Visitors’ Program to share knowledge and experience with our former school. TMSAANA MEMBERS INCLUDE: 1. Regular Members: Alumni of TMS (and its successors) residing outside of Ethiopia; 2. Associate Members: Teachers and Administrators of TMS (and its successors); and 3. Distinguished Members: Individuals who make notable contribution to TMS and recommended by a TMSAANA member and approved by the Board. read more
