Swindon Academy, which opened in September 2007, was the first all-through academy in the country. We operate from two sites, ... one in Pinehurst, which caters for pupils from aged 2 through to 18, and one in Penhill, which caters for pupils aged 2 through to 11. We are proud to provide excellent educational facilities on both of these sites. We are a successful and happy academy with enthusiastic students, ambitious staff, supportive parents and committed governors. We are very proud of our successes. In May 2017, Ofsted rated Swindon Academy as ‘Good’ in all areas. We offer funded and non-funded Nursery provision and a thriving Primary Phase. We are also the number one school in Swindon, and in the top 20% of schools nationally, for Progress 8 measures and have been so for 3 years in a row. We have the most comprehensive provision of enrichment activities for students in the area and we are able to offer entry to our welcoming and successful United College Sixth Form to students from other schools. We make no secret of striving for excellence in every aspect of school life in fact, our aim is that students will Dream Big, Aim High and Reach Far. Additionally, as a result of the unique and successful partnership with Marlborough College, Swindon Academy offers the most able pupils from Swindon the chance to attend our Grammar Stream from Year 7.
