As a team sports-based approach offering recreational opportunities, Icehearts supports children as well as social workers and schools. The purpose of Icehearts is to prevent social exclusion, nurture social skills and give children safe long-term adult support through stages of emotional development. The approach is underpinned by a set of values aimed at providing equal opportunities to all children. Icehearts is a cross-sectoral approach that involves cooperation with social service and education professionals.
