Migrante Netherlands is a community organization of Filipinos living in the Netherlands. It aims to defend, protect and promo ... te the rights and welfare of migrants. It stands against all forms of discrimination, exploitation and oppression. It also supports the effort to end poverty, corruption and human rights violations in the Philippines. Through solidarity actions, it contributes to the people’s aspirations for freedom and national democracy. Migrante Netherlands is part of Migrante International, a global alliance of Filipino overseas established in 1996 to raise awareness about the case of Flor Contemplacion, a Filipina domestic helper injustifiably hanged in Singapore. Its regional body is Migrante Europe. Through education, campaign, lobbying, training, social assistance and solidarity, Migrante has become an active defender of the rights and welfare of Filipino migrants anywhere in the world. Migrante Netherlands chapter is open for membership to Filipino workers, refugees and naturalized families in the Netherlands.
