St Aidan's was founded in 1968 as a small secondary school with just over 600 students-today it is a thriving community of ne ... ar 2000 students aged 11-19, regularly being ranked among the top comprehensive schools in the country. It converted to Academy status in 2011 and set up a Multi AcademyTrust with locak primary schools in March 2015. St Aidan's was also awarded Teaching Status in August 2015.
