Jane Race, Southern Tutors’ Principal, has taught in schools in Surrey and Oxfordshire. She has a postgraduate Masters degree, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in History and a Diploma in Higher Education (Educational Studies) from the University of Oxford. Jane Race is a life member of The Oxford Union. She is also a local health campaigner. She Co-Founded the Surrey Arrhythmia Support Group (SurreyASG) in 2014 for people with heart arrhythmias and is Co-Chair and Public Lead. In 2015 she was elected to the Borough Council in Epsom, Surrey where she served for four years and campaigned, successfully, for the resurfacing of Alexandra Recreation Ground's Tennis and Basketball courts. Jane, in 2016, was also elected as a member of the prestigious Institute of Directors (IoD) 99. As well as leading the Southern Tutors team, Jane teaches on the term-time and holiday 11 Plus courses. Jane also teaches on the English GCSE Saturday group. Rosemary Najim, our Educational Director, is a successful qualified school teacher and private tutor. She has taught in primary, secondary and further education for over thirty years. She has a wide knowledge of the needs of students at different stages of their education. Rosemary is a graduate of the London School of Economics, University of London and the Institute of Education, University of London. read more
