Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the SC CTSI is an organization devoted entirely to increasing the success of translational science. The SC CTSI is part of a national consortium of CTSA institutions that work together to improve the translational research process to get more treatments to more patients more quickly. In partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and broad based community health organizations throughout Los Angeles, the SC CTSI seeks to be a leader in engaging diverse communities and special populations in clinical and translational research to improve their health.
