The Association of British and Chinese University Students (ABACUS), was founded in 1994 at the University of Cambridge. Over ... the years, ABACUS has spread all around the UK and there are now no fewer than fourteen branches of this society whom we shall maintain close links with. These branches exist at: Imperial, UCL, LSE, KCL, SOAS, Nottingham, Brunel, City, Queen Mary, Goldsmiths, City, Cardiff, Kent, and Cambridge respectively. The University of Oxford and the University of Leeds both have a similar society. The University of Southampton ABACUS is founded in November 2013 by a group of both international and British Chinese students. With our similar culture and aims, we firmly believe by having ABACUS in Southampton, we can create a more diverse and welcoming community for both our members and the university as a whole! . read more
