SARCOS COST Action CA15202 (Self-healing As preventive Repair of COncrete Structures) is an international scientific network ... on advancing the implementation of innovative and sustainable solutions for extending the service life of concrete structures funded by COST (European COoperation in Science and Technology). Structured in interactive Working Groups (WGs), SARCOS addresses new concepts and advanced solutions in preventive repair management of structures, from the design of smart "healing promoter additives" to the definition of standards for performance evaluation. The Action is expected to have a major impact on the enhancement of the service life of new and existing concrete infrastructure without the loss of performance. As of September 2016 SARCOS brings together researchers from academia, industry and regulators from 28 countries, including EU, Near Neighbour and International Partner Countries. read more
