Hello, I’m Sarah. I am a dedicated bodywork therapist and psychosomatic practitioner with a deep interest in exploring the ps ... ycho-emotional relationship we have with our body. My interest in the health field commenced in 2003 with studies in Medical Science at the University of Wollongong. Not long after completing my degree, I felt drawn to emergency service work in the NSW Police. Following a diagnosis of major depression and PTSD after 9 years of service, along with psychotherapy sessions, I explored a variety of bodywork and holistic bodymind therapy modalities which I found boosted my mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being in a unique way. The psychosomatic and body based approaches provided me with a deeper understanding of how I was relating to myself and the tension that I was holding. It also offered me an opportunity to feel more comfortable and at ease with what I was experiencing within my body, calmed my nervous system and provided ways for me to choose to take better care of myself – especially when I was experiencing more challenging times. My interest in the health field was reignited and I have since undertaken training in a number of modalities to build a new career specialising in bodymind focused therapy. I am a member of the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT) and the International Association of Psychosomatic Therapy (INTAPT) and am committed to my ongoing personal and professional development to best serve my clients and their needs. read more
