Rio Hondo College's GIS Program offers a CA Certificate of Achievement for Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The CA state ... approved program offers convenient scheduled courses at community college fees for working professionals. Classrooms, and curriculum are developed with input from local GIS industry leaders. Students can transfer courses to 4 year institutions. Several courses are offered in the fall and spring. Introduction to GIS is offered during the summer with field trip to Esri International Conference. Courses are located on Rio Hondo College campus, conveniently located in Whittier within view of Los Angeles at the intersection of the 605 and 60 freeway.
