The story of the Maison Repetto began in 1947 with Rose Repetto, the mother of Roland Petit, Opera de Paris choreographer and ballet dancer. He asked her to create ballet shoes in her workshop located near the Opera de Paris. The Maison Repetto was born and the brand became the reference for ballet dancers. Ballet is its heritage from the past, its imagery reference and its inspiration for its values. In 1956, Brigitte Bardot ordered the first ballerinas from Rose. They were made in the same way as the ballet shoes, using the "cousu-retourné" technique – Stitch and return method.
