The RAPID Alliance was organized in May, 2020, in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, to conduct research on how to st ... rengthen the ability of US pharmacists and pharmacies and their care-team partners - including patient advocates, physicians and clinicians, pharmaceutical firms, health systems and clinics, aging care providers, health plans, plan sponsors and technology partners - to serve patients across the US during and after the pandemic. Supported by the National Science Foundation Center for Health Organization Transformation, University of Louisville, Sanofi, and others, the project gathered insights from over 60 leaders from the US pharmacist/pharmacy sector. The resulting RAPID Alliance 2021 Report is available free at www.rapidalliance.org. In 2021, we are launching the RAPID Alliance as a multi-sector collaborative research consortium to advance research priorities identified in the report. We are inviting leaders and researchers from across the US pharmacist and pharmacy sector to collaborate with us. We will be working together to develop and implement high quality research studies designed to accelerate development and implementation of innovations in order to optimize access to and outcomes from medications, vaccines and related therapies for all US residents.
