88.7 Adelaide’s Coast FM began operation at O’Halloran Hill in 1986, Commencing with a refreshing blend of music and talk for ... the Adelaide Community. Adelaide’s Coast FM listeners are extremely dedicated to the station. The listening audience grows larger by the week, Coast FM’s demographic is targeted to the Southern and Western districts of Adelaide and surrounds. 88.7 Coast FM prides itself in offering a varied and interesting line-up of programs with a different announcer for each show. 88.7 Coast FM operates on a purely volunteer basis with 110 volunteers, providing services to the station such as, copywriting, production, voice-over artists and sound recording, technical, office duties, promotional committees and, of course, announcers. From our 110 volunteers 99 are announcers. From this line up, 88.7 Coast FM has 75 programs running live and local, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The music is varied to suit listeners of all ages both young and old. Programs such as Jazz, Rock and Roll, Folk, Local and International artists, Country, Opera, Stage and Screen along side sports programs that feature Soccer, Football, Horse Racing and Netball just to name a few.
