Quikbook's NYC rates were UNBEATABLE from 1998-2008. The team that worked there were passionate professionals who truly cared about hospitality. Quikbook started in 1988 as a 1-800 phone number, and was one of the first entities in the WORLD to have an online booking engine for hotels. Quikbook RULED for a long time, but nice guys finish last...and big, publicly traded OTAs did not like lil' Quikbook making them look bad on rates...so Quikbook was, sadly, bullied out of existence. read more
