PBS was founded by Robert Gold, a banquet bartender himself since 1987, who noticed there was a lack of qualified bartenders ... and food servers available to work the many diverse events in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Bartenders are all TIPS Certified (National Training for Intervention Procedures by Servers of Alcohol). This is a dynamic skills based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking by enhancing the fundamental people skills of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol. We believe TIPS gives our staff the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol related problems and the ability to intervene to prevent alcohol related accidents. We protect our clients and staff by ensuring all staff is covered by Workmen's Compensation, General Liability Insurance, Umbrella/ Excess Liability Insurance and Liquor Liability Insurance. read more
