The POLISH GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY of AMERICA® exists as an international non-profit educational organization to collect, dissem ... inate and preserve information on Polish and Polish-American family history and to help its Members use that information in their own research. The purpose of the POLISH GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY of AMERICA® is to help researchers in the field, to establish communication between those doing genealogical research, to establish publications to pass along new information, to publish original articles and experiences of Members, to reprint or publish works beneficial to Polish genealogical research, and to promote Polish genealogical research. Quarterly meetings offer interesting presentations and discussions on genealogical problems and practices. Our Annual Conference, held in the greater Chicago area every Fall, features experts in the field, translators, a Polish luncheon, and genealogical resources available for purchase. We participate with other Polish genealogical societies in the biennial United Polish Genealogical Society conference, held in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Family History Library. This event includes an opportunity to meet with other researchers, guest speakers, and allows ample time for personal research. PGSA maintains a website that is regularly monitored and updated.
