The Chapter was founded in 1962 by a group of dedicated people led by Art Livingood, Andy Fertal, and Bob Zerns. Their vision has helped influence the shape of concrete construction in Pittsburgh as well as the tri-state area. Our chapter regularly sponsors ACI Educational Seminars dealing with design of concrete, concrete materials and concrete construction practices. Additionally, we offer certification for ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I, ACI Concrete Flatwork Technician & Flatwork Finisher, and ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician.
