Median income and Level of Completed education correspond while medium income is directly related to where you reside within the City of Dallas. There is a 50% disparity in yearly earnings for the average family in South Dallas compared to the average family in North Dallas. The Connection Learning Institute was created to provide under-served, underexposed, underrepresented students with exposure to artistic and awareness stimuli. This stimuli will ultimately plant the seed or give them the “backpack” of academic, artistic and awareness tools necessary to assist them in developing the plan that would lead to the secured admittance into some form of post high school educational programming (i.e. College or Trade/Technical School). Where? We are working with the most affected demographic of underexposed, underserved, undereducated teens in Dallas - namely the Southern Sector.
