Our unique approach to recovery offers hope and the possibility of a fulfilling life for people living with mental ill health. Lived experience is at the heart of our work and currently 20% of our teams are employed in peer support roles. Our commitment to the power of peer saw the launch of the Scottish Recovery Network in 2004, which we continue to host. Penumbra has developed I.ROC (individual recovery outcomes counter) - an innovative 12 question self-assessment focusing on recovery. I.ROC is already in use across 10 organisations in the UK and has been the subject of significant international interest. Testing is currently underway in Spain and the Netherlands to create translated versions with the possibility of a German version at a later date. Services in the USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand are also keen to use the tool.
